The KLESIS PROJECT is designed so that you can use the materials to support the calling of all members of your congregation and then improve the programs by providing feedback and resources on the community extranet.

The introductory program, Connect? is released free of charge under an open source license, in order to serve as many congregations as possible, and to model Jesus’ open invitation to share in God’s realm.

Commit? and Covenant! are scheduled for release in 2007.

John de Beer and Sarah Dylan Breuer are available for consultation and training in congregations and dioceses that wish to implement the KLESIS PROJECT.

People contributing to the project

The KLESIS PROJECT was conceived by John de Beer and Sarah Dylan Breuer
while they were both on staff at St. Martin’s-in-the-Field Episcopal Church, Severna Park, Maryland. Sarah and John are the principal authors. Tricia de Beer, who was also on staff at St. Martin’s, wrote the original material on prayer. The parishioners at St. Martin’s participated enthusiastically in Connect? and Commit?, and encouraged its wider distribution.

Michael de Beer designed the first website and continues to manage the internet operation of the KLESIS PROJECT while also contributing creatively to the overall design of the programs.

John and Tricia de Beer are now in the Diocese of Massachusetts, where Bishop Bud Cederholm has provided much encouragement and Amy Cooke, the Resource Center manager in the Diocese, gave invaluable feedback and suggestions.

John Marchiony and Keith Ward donated their expertise in marketing and graphic design for the new website.
